Govt announces Tax waivers for next 2 years to all taxi operators registering on Goa Taxi App

Digital Goa, Jan 2 – Goa govt has announced that all taxes will be waived off for the next 2 years for all the taxi operators who join Goa government’s

 Goa Taxi cab aggregator app. Motor Vehicle Act will be amended to waive off all transport related taxes such as road tax, renewals etc for all the taxi operators who come on

board Goa Taxi app, announced Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho. There will be two tax systems now, one for those on the app and one for those not on the app, he added. The state

cabinet today granted approval to the implementation of Goa Taxi Cab aggregator App designed and operated by GEL.  Cabinet also approved constitution of advisory body with

stakeholders including registered taxi unions, Travel and Tourism Associations, Dept of Tourism and Dept of Transport to monitor the operation of the app and also to suggest
